How many pay per view buys would a Ward-Golovkin fight generate?

    Bingo!

Sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. GGG-Ward would be a textbook example of such.

Ward is a boring fighter without a fan base ,but he's vwry good and I'm sure he would beat GGG , but people would watch that fight because they want to see Golovkin , not ward .

Why would people want to pay to watch Andre Ward when you can get free tickets? Just about every fight Ward has had in Oakland there were people from James Prince handing out free tickets the day of the weigh in and the night of the fight.

Let see if this fight even happens. Lemieux was 175,8 pounds in his 30-day weight in. He is not going to make the weight. The real question is, how many pounds over the limit..

    Probably 325k, I'd guess?

    Hmm...

Seems a little on the high side but we've seen it countless times before.

Even if he does make weight that not healthy to cut it so fast. He might need a TUE and a few saline IV bags. :D

Surprised to see that many believe this fight could do over 1 million buys. I'm not convinced it does more than 700k.

Now that Golovkin's ppv numbers just came out, I doubt him and Ward could even generate over 400K buys.

Just GGG alone would bring 150K, so 150K.

Title defenses and mandatory challengers, how do they work?

This fight might not do 200k unless they have a good undercard. People just don't know either guy.

The problem is Ward makes $2m fighting guys I've never heard of in non-title fights on non-PPV. Ward has very little incentive to step up.
