trained/sparred for some years untill my knee problems caught up with me. it was a tough learning curve as a heavyweight given the available heavyweight sparring partners at the time were either pros or seasoned amateurs. forced me to learn fast though

the ones who batter and belittle the fighters with words of ignorance couldn't even spell boxing in that fighters world. its a toataly different world in the ring.

I've had. Made me realise that all fighters deserve respect. Very few people have the guts to do what professional prize-fighter do for a livin.

Very little experience. I trained for about 4 months and sparred a handful of times, but had to stop going when I got a new job at the time. I couldn't go back because my next job was night shift, and then after that when I came here the only boxing gym in my city turned me away for being a foreigner. I really want to get back into it and at least once in my life have a competitive fight

this is true. we have quite a few on esb. I guess arguing about blood tests and steroids are priority for some boxing fans

Never had an official, sanctioned match. . . But I've laced 'em up. . . Still do. .

Just sparred last Saturday. . . Got my head bounced around. . . But I got my licks in. . .

I just do it because I LOVE the sport so much, and it's the only way I can stay in shape. . . I just find lifting weights too boring, and repetitive now. . . Go in and do 3,4 sets of pushing bars up, etc. . Just not my thing. . .

I have boxed for a few years, but not so much anymore, dont have the time.

Occasionally I go down the gym, group sessions are always fun
