Words from The Ring's Doug Fischer...

"Mayweather really is unbeaten, but he’s not untouchable. If he was untouchable Castillo would not have given him so much hell in that first fight, which could have gone either way, but was not a robbery. I was ringside for that fight and I scored for Floyd by one point (or 6-5-1 in rounds). It could have gone to either fighter by a 7-5 margin."

Now keep in mind two things...1) Fischer is a big time Floyd hater and 2) Fischer ALWAYS produces accurate scorecards. I can't think of one fight he did not score properly (Mora-Mosley, most of Alexander's recent fights, Jermain Taylor-Winky, JT-BHop etc.)

to me, it is a clear castillo rd. in just the last minute alone, castillo lands more hard shots on floyd than floyd lands throughout the whole rd.

It humors me how people are so knowledgeable about boxing and then ignore all reasoning. Floyd won at least 3 of the first 4 rounds. Very simple he got cracked to the left side with 1:04 and :50 remaining in the 5th round. Is it just coincidence he landed under 10 punches in rd 6 and Castillo landed 27 of 32 power shots ?
People need to take off the goggles and understand even Floyd can get hit to the body and he is human like the rest. It was not the shoulder it was the body work that turned the fight around. Floyd had no answers whatsoever from Round 6 till the final bell.

If you took 100 unbiased people with knowledge or training in scoring fights 80 out 100 would score no less than 6 of the final 8 rounds for JLC.

In the second fight Floyd protected his left side better, plain and simple.

I give Castillo the 7th. The last 20 seconds won him that round.
