how many ppv buys for Pacquiao V Algieri

    the fight is not set in stone but its confirmed arum has offered algieris team 7 figure payday to face pac (which he is almost certain to accept)

    how many ppv's do you think this will do ? personally i think it will be 400k

    algieri is relatively unknown though i do like to watch him and was very impressed when he fought provodnikov we should also take in to account pacs star has faded quite a bit after being knocked out viciously and has seemed to lost alot of what made pac a star in the first place.

    the other main factor is bob arums hatred for good undercards, the man has publically stated he does not care for undercards at all and i cant see a very arrogant man like arum to change his tune anytime soon

    so guys, HOW MANY BUYS ?

    Under 500k. Of course, everyone involved in the promotion will still find a way to make money off of it, but this certainly won't be among Pacquiao's highest selling fights.

    It seems clear that either Marquez doesn't want a 5th fight, or Arum doesn't think it's worth paying the $10 million or so it would take to bring Marquez to the table. I like Algieri, but this guy was fighting on ESPN2 at the beginning of 2014, and now he's a PPV headliner. This certainly must be some sort of joke.

    400-500 K PPV buys is my guess. Same sort of deal as happened with Rios.

    algeri =1-2m

    500-600k.

    plus chinese ppv of 5$ a pop.

    this is a market waiting to get broken wide open.

    i wont be surprised with a million chinese buys with shimming on the undercard.

    another 500k-600k chinese buys will make this fight a huge success.

    then again, most chinese would prolly just stream the fight off.

    i understood the move from bob arum when he put pac rios togather but didnt it fail miserably ? i remember he even stated that, so why is he trying again ? i mean if it was a very popular fighter like a good welterweight from china i could see the appeal but its algieri, he is less known then rios ?... makes no sense to me
