How many PPV buys will Hopkins / Dawson generate?

    Cotto barely drew more than 250k vs mayorga and he is far more popular than Hopkins currently

    The fact that Mayweather and Pacquiao are fighting before and after this fight will hurt it. Not to mention, the economic conditions. But this fight is also legit and not a travesty like Jones II and even Pavlik, as most saw Hopkins as having little chance. This is for all the marbles at 175. And Hopkin;ss name has been more mainstream since his 2 fights with Pascal. I think it will do surprisingly well, maybe close to 500K.

    Less than 300K.

    Dawson's fanbase of his Mum and Wife will be at the fight, so there goes his contribution to the buys.

    Bit of a shame as the guy is a great fighter, but just has no fanbase what so ever.
