How many PPV in OZ for Martinez v Barker ?

Why should we have to fork out for it when it's free in every other country?

 

As did I. Well worth staying away from the boards for 24 hours. $50 for 2 fights and a replay isn't value, especially when it's the second rate commentary team and it's not PPV anywhere else.

Usually watch online for free! if you know where to look...otherwise its off to the pub/friends house who has got foxtel : )

Only a matter of time before the big fights become main stream online...especially now that the NBN is getting rolled out across the OZ states with fast download/upload speeds!!

Dumb question: does any provider allow for one-off rentals of their units for Pay Per View?

I don't have Foxtel and am not too particularly keen on it either but I would rent (and even pay a premium) a Genius IQ thingamajig just to watch fights.

Yes, I know about streams but would prefer the ease of legal viewing.

I'd pay to watch it in person. Had already started putting money aside for it since Pac KO'd Hatton.

 

Gotta agree that it was not PPV worthy but to all you saying there was only 2 fights plus the replay, there were actually 3 live fights on the card, the first televised fight was Isaac Chilemba

 

The Colonel was calling the Juanma Lopez card in Puerto Rico v Mike Oliver! Very exciting 2 round shootout! Worth checking out on you tube!

 

Barker was a 14/1 underdog in a 2 horse race.

He apparently acquitted himself quite well but you can't blame people who like me know nothing about Barker to buy the fight when the experts give him no chance plus the NRL Grand Final was on.

 

I buy 1 or 2 per month if there is good fights on but this was billed as a mis-match and again the NRL Grand Final was on.

 

I brought the Floyd v Ortiz card and was impressed, we also had a living legend fighting b4 the main event plus a cross over to the red headed mexican against the former contender finalist streamed from LA........... On top of that we got the PBF V Merchant stoush :yep

 

To be honest, I would be suprised if it hit 1000 buys! Martinez is all class but he would struggle to sell out a shithouse in the States therefore what chance of any interest downunder!
