My most is 35 but I've never really seen how far I could have gone. When I was in good shape I should have, a shame.

My absolute record is 35. After that my grip starts to slip.

Thanks for the answers guys! For those who haven't done it "properly" (i.e. hanging from a bar) and completely correctly (see first post), please do it and write back. I want to see how much you can do NOW (or in the last month or so) not 5 years ago...

    BTW...anything 20+ is awesome, I think!:happy

Well I can do 7 proper ones.... I know kinda lame but I don't practice them or anything. I did them at school and that was it. 3 times a year for fitness testing, so the last time I checked was about 4months ago. My results will be different I imagine I can do 10 by now.

7 proper ones is harder than, say, 10 cheating in some way!:good Do it again and write back!

If I'm full of energy and in the mood, I might be able to beat my alltime record of 2.

I can't imagine anyone being able to do over 40, that just seems insane to me. Maybe it's possible if you don't come right the way back down until you have straight arms again. I can't even do 10 chin-ups, which are miles easier for me.
