How many pull-ups can you do?

    Not coming all the way down doesn't make that much of a difference to me. I've seen a man do 25. I've never seen anyone do 30 or more.

    The most I've ever seen was 15 and I was amazed. The same bloke could do 25+ chin-ups as well. Obviously those numbers are nothing compared to ESB standards though :roll:

    i assume scurla could do quiet a few judging by his latspread but then again he probably just used the lat pull downs.

    pull ups are one of the most hardest exercises to progress in.

    I bet anyone who isn't obese/heavily pregnant/ really fat can do at least 3.

    I'm none of those, (although I do feel nauseous on monday mornings) and I can't do more than 2.

    only problem with that is that to increase your count by 1 you have to improve by 50%!!

    I've kept fit now for about 6 years, I'm well used to hard workouts.

    You can work up to that easily. I can do a lot of them too if I haven't been doing any weights that day.

    If I've done weights, I can only do about 12-15 in a row, because my arms are heavily worked.
