How many pull-ups can you do?

    so amsterdam whats your secret??? at the moment i am doing 10 sets of 8 reps to try and build up or 3 reps of 10 sets weighted.

    Are you doing them outright and not part of an intensive workout routine?

    Just keep at them, also are you at your optimum weight? I'm always around 12 st. at 5'11 and I've just been working out for a long time.

    Why don't you try 5 sets of 16 instead of 10 sets of 8. Then try 5 sets of 20, 25, 30 etc.

    Probably over 25...i do 3 or 4 sets of 15. I'm 224 pounds.

    20+ but I weight only 147, I think weight means alot in these kind of excersises.

    weight means nothing that is just an excuse, i hear 200lb guys saying they cant do many pull ups because they weigh more than others i also heard a guy tell me that 5 of his push ups are as good as 20 of mine because he weighs more.

    Come on! You're having a laugh! A skinny weak guy will do more pull-ups than a stronger chubby guy, most of the time!
