about 650 would be my guess.

hopkins backpeddals and moves side to side and if calzaghe is smart he will not follow and wait for hopkins which obviously will lower his workrate considerably.

I spent last night watching Cal-Kessler, BHops-Tarver and BHop-Winky very closely. And Harold Lederman's perception that Bernard was having his mouth open and suckng on air, possibly out of shape in the July telecast is wrong cause he still made use of his legs with intelligent, swift moves and feints... Bernard keeps out of range, blocks the right jab with his left and moves very fast with the right down the middle. Dan Birmingham as early as the 1st round " Be careful Wink, he's very sneaky, use your legs more and your left", Buddy to Antonio " Don't paw with your jab, snap that right but be very careful with his right lead"... Man, Enzo and Joe are not gonna just break themselves in, they will have to think their way in with subtle moves, feints and fakes and that takes effective time of each round... Under 749 punches for sure!

Hopkins is the master of breaking his opponent's game plan and land some serious hooks on the inside and of course this will be the key weapon for him in this fight. Of course it's hard to predict how effective will Hopkins be as only the fight itself can answer if there will be major differences in speed, power and size.

As I think that Joe’s speed will be a HUGE advantage and Hopkins will be able to grab him less than usual I'd say that Calzaghe can work on 75% and that's 750 punches.

The only other weapon in Hopkins's arsenal in which he's superior is his head. I see Bernard's head butting as a MAJOR issue in that fight.

I expect a low # by calzage standards as I expect hopkins will be doing a lot of hugging.
