How many push-ups can you do?

    yep, different muscles are used, pulling strength is different to pushing.

    I can do around 75+ non-stop; but you don't consider some one in shape if they can't do 100+....Guess I need to keep working at em. lol

    75+ is good; I didn't mean to be rude; I can only do 40 myself...but 100 is what I consider enough for one to be called fit.

    100 push-ups and 25 pull-ups

    65 or so would be inline with 25 pull ups maybe

    However, I normally do sets of 50.

    i remember when i had trouble doing 10 push ups at that time i thought i could never go ove 20.

    However, after doing serious weights, I can only do about 50 straight. 150 is without prior intensive workout, which sometimes I'll do it as a warm up to weights.

    Let us use Amsterdam - the gold standard - as an example! He does 40 pull-ups and 150 push-ups. That is a ratio of 4/15.

    So if you do 25 pull-ups, which you should be able to do if you're fit, you should be able to do around 94 push-ups.

    In my book that says you have to do 25 pull-ups and 100 push-ups to be considered fit, rounded up niceley.
