IMO Abraham-Dirrell would be a 50-50 fight on a neutral ground, Andre is talented as hell and has a huge athletic advantage to make it up for lack of experience and one punch power. Also styles make fights, it's possible that one will dominate the other.

But it is NOT happening on a neutral ground, in fact, King Arthur Abraham will have to face Dirrell from Michigan, judge#1 from Michigan, judge#2 from Michigan, judge#3 from Michigan, and most likely referee from Michigan. Remember that the fight was postponed, and for "whatever reason" (yeah right) moved from California to Andre Dirrell's hometown (sort of) of Detroit, Michigan. Many were suspicious about the postponement anyway, but now that it's a Michigan wipeout, it's all so clear: Abraham could very well have 5 opponents scheduled for this Saturday!

Since it's mandatory to have some ignorant posters complaining about other countries and hometown decisions, let's have a preventive war! Yes, unfortunately hometown cooking happens everywhere, HOWEVER!!! For Froch-Dirrell for example, there were 3 INTERNATIONAL judges and an INTERNATIONAL referee appointed, 4 Englishmen would've been absolutely unacceptable as you'd certainly agree, and you can bet Gary Shaw would've turned it down. There were no German or Armenian officials for Abraham-Taylor either, because for most countries in the world, international judges are mandatory for international events! Sometimes there's one from each fighters backyard, which is of course acceptable, but in most countries, judges in international fights are international.

Now in the United States, every judge (even if a world title organization appoints an international one) must be licenced in the state the fight is happening. That's why you have American judges scoring international fights most of the time: you can't appoint the most experienced judge in the world if he/she isn't licenced in the state, and obviously most judges licenced in the given state are... from that state. This ruling lead to dozens of highly controversial events, think Chris John vs. Rocky Juarez: ALL 3 judges were Rocky's country (and state)men and all 3 robbed John badly in a fight he dominated. Or Sergio Martinez vs. Kermit Cintron (now an American citizen living and fighting in the US): not only two local judges robbed Martinez, but the local ref, after giving Cintron a FULL TEN COUNT, overruled his OWN decision when the FIGHTER AND HIS TEAM talked him out of it, ruiling the knockout a (never occured) headbutt! "You have to knock him out the get the draw" - that's what happened!

Again: what would you say if let's say a German fighter would have 3 German judges and German ref in an international fight? Totally unacceptable, and it's never happening in most parts of the world, however in the US, the state licence rule makes judges licenced in the local state mandatory! This has to change!

Okay, back to the question! At this point it looks like all 3 judges will be Michigan-based officials, so... how many rounds Andre Dirrell will have to put in the bag to walk away with the victory in his hometown?

Dirrell only needs to throw a flurry in the end of each round for the judges to give him the round,i simply cant see AA winning a decision in Detroit with three judges from Michigan who are probably scared of causing a riot if they give the fight to AA.

Abraham needs to stop him at least three times to win the fight and even then he might end up getting DQd.

Yawn. Only 1 of the judges is from Michigan. 1 is from Mexico. And one is probably Italian, just a guess from his name.

When Dirrell is schooling Abraham, maybe he'll head butt him, that way you'll have a better excuse when he loses.

Doesn't matter, because he'll leave the ring on a stretcher.

As far as I know one judge and the ref are from michigan.

But if I understand you correctly, your point is, it´s not where the judges are from, but that the judges are licensend in michigan.
Could someone provide me more infos about this matter? I don´t know much about this license thing you are talking about.

    Sorry for my bad english

Good post. Boxing lisences are not like drivers lisences, they don't travel across state lines. I'm in real estate, it happens the same way. In order for the best judges to be available for all of the fights, they would need to be licensed in every state. How many big fights are in Michigan? Probably not enough to fly and take a test, pay a fee, and get lisenced for. With Detroit's education system I doubt the test his hard though.

I would still favor Abraham on this one, and I really hope there won't be any controversial or shady decision.

Abraham should take care of the business within 10 rounds.

I'm sure Abraham was prepared for this type of corruption, going into a third world country to fight the home town fighter he will definitely go for the KO earlier than he usually does.
