Yeah true, because Ali has a history of quitting and Vitali always upsets the odds when he fights great fighters

Why even bother asking this question. Most people hold Ali in such high regard they think he's perfect and would just 'rope a dope' every single fighter regardless of style matchup.

Now I'm not trying to say Ali may not be the greatest HW of all time as I personally believe it's a two-horse race between Ali and Louis. But, he had his flaws and while he could probably beat the majority of past-current champions, he wouldn't beat every single one.

I encourage you to contribute to this thread, which makes for some interesting bed time reading: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=272123

For the record, I would pick Ali over Vitali comfortably on points, but any talk of a KO is laughable.

Ali is not gonna beat him, just like a top soccer team from the 70 is not going to beat a modern top soccer team. Idiots

He would probably win every round before getting stopped on cuts. Ali was the best slasher in the business, and even Kingpin's jab got Vitali bleeding.

3-4 Ali gives away first 2 rounds just to get a feel for Vitali, plus Vitali takes one more round but Alo wins clear UD!

Maybe a couple. Ali's footspeed, movement, defensive reflexes, and fast hands would carry the day in a big way.

I voted 3-4 but that was before I seen the 12 round thing, I had 15 in my head for some reason. I think Vitali wins 2-3 rounds max vs a 1964-67 motivated Ali, he`s just too slow, Ali would literally dance rings around him, he`d win a very clear UD via masterclass, it wouldn`t be close, Ali is a terrible match-up for Vitali, terrible.... 12-0 in Ali`s favour would suprise me less than 7-5 in Ali`s favour tbh.

    12 rounds

Vitali has a good defence great chin and a great workout.

Prime Ali has a good defence great chin and a great workout.

    Both are pretty weak fisted.

    UD12 Ali
Though a MD12 Ali is possible too.

I think Vitali would man up and win a couple of rounds, probably two. Ali might give a round or two away once he's up 8-2 after 10.

I was joking about the knock out. You don't need to 'hype' up Ali, the reflexes, the fights, the speed, they are all on tape. They can all be viewed over and over. Ali is not some myth that happened in the 1920's, video evidence is clear.

I was perhaps a bit harsh on Bitchatli Quitsako but I still think at most Ducktali wins 3 rounds out of 12.

Would Chuck Wepner or Cooper put down Vitali? Nobody has put the man down.

I don't see Ali doing much but running around and missing dozens of shots. Vitali dominates until Ali's corner throws in the towel.

Vitali's arm punches would look even more awkward than usual. Ali would trip this Vitali up,have him stunned and shocked by the slickness.
Ali's right hand lead would be landing all night, the quick jab would score constantly, the speed would be too much.
Ali wins UD or maybe even scores a late TKO.
