Yeah, so many boxing fans don't realize this. I gave Narvaez three, maybe four rounds. I thought he clearly outlanded Donaire in those rounds. They weren't hard to score. Donaire would bang away at the guard, and Narvaez would land the occasional, jabs, straight lefts, or right hooks upstairs. Donaire's connect rate for the fight in reality couldn't have been more than 10%. The body was open all day for Donaire, and Narvaez even seemed bother by the few body shots Donaire would throw, but Donaire was content to just punch guard all day.
i scored the fight 117-111 , i gave narvaez rounds 1 , 5 and 7 im happy looking back at the punchstats that i think show i was right to give the wee guy those rounds http://www.***********.com/forums/view.php?pg=donaire-narvaez-compubox
They should if the other guy isn't doing anything but punching guard. One guy is landing a scoring punch, the other guy isn't. It isn't rocket science.
Anyone who had it 120-108 is a dumb ***** in a the damn wall of shame. There were a few round were Nonito didn't land anything at all and Navarez scored a few nice counter shots and jabs.
