Same as I had it. I was surpised to see that pavlik just stopped in the 9th when he was looking like he was about to finish strong. Martinez took over the show and beat the hell out of him the last 4 rounds. I guess that's what happens when you kill yourself to make weight.
Lmao noticed that too, it was shameful. But i gave him 3 and the knockdown, with one other, think it was the 5th, being very close.
I think MArtinez corner told him to pick up the workrate, or he's gonna get robbed again, and the ghost had no answer for it, it was shockingly one sided, especially consdering the fact Martinez looked fcked in the 8th and had a knockdown, albeit, a slip, ruled against him.
I thought round 4 was the only round that could've gone either way.... On my card Pavlik won 5,6,7,8. 4 i scored even. So i had it 115-113 Martinez.
Yeah, I had Sergio up 4 rounds to 0 after the 4th too. But during the middle rounds, it seemed to me that Pav was slowly grinding him down somewhat. I didn't think Pavlik swept the middle rounds like the HBO commentators did, though. Maravilla took the fight right out of Kelly from the 9th onward. He just beat him like he stole something. I'm going to watch it again in a bit with no commentary.
I thought he won three rounds. I also thought that the KD was BS. The HBO crew was doing their best to justify another bogus decision against Martinez. I'm going to try watching fights with the volume off from now on.
c&p I'm re-watching it now, Christ the HBO commentary is so biased for Kelly it's pathetic. They call everyone of Pavlik's shots and zero of Sergio's. At one point Martinez lands about 6 or 7 good punches and there is silence, Kelly lands a counter semi decent right and Lampley screams "hard right hand by Pavlik!" And Steward has just lost the plot completely.
4 rounds to 8 115-112 martinez it was a legit KD Martinez was just off balence. the whole he held him thing really didn't make that big of a difference
