6 Years ago he may have lasted 2....now he may get to 6 to 8 never been TKOd so we may underestimate his Chin...
Vanes was never stopped or I think even dropped in his entire pro career before GGG. He got KTFO in 2 and he had faced better opposition than Rolls. If Rolls makes it to the 6th, he's got world class whiskers.
GGG should not look for an early KO. Expect him to try to do some new things, getting comfortable with some new tactics brought in by Banks. Then after he breaks a sweat in the 4th or 5th take him out to avoid the possibility of a headbutt or something unfortunate and unnecessary happening.
Why take the chance if you want to fight Canelo in September? Might as well KO Rolls as quick as possible.
I guess that depends on if he is going to change his style at all for the third fight. If he doesnt plan to change anything about his style for the trilogy, then yeah KO Rolls for sure right out of the gate. If he wants to use new wrinkles in his style that Banks brought in, then why not try it out in a live fight to see how it feels before testing it only in sparring and then against a p4p beast in Canelo?
He might blow Rolls out in a round, or do like he did with Martirosyan and feel 'em out for a round first.
I'll be shocked if Rolls makes it past the fifth round. I think people are forgetting how big of a puncher GGG is. Sure GGG couldn't stop block-head but this is a step-down from even Vanes M. I think Rolls gets clipped early.
