12, 13, 15? How about unification fights (between two beltholders)? 13 round fights would eliminate all draws save those that occur when an accidental clash of heads leads to a fight going to the scorecards after an even number of completed rounds.

13 rounds would eliminate draws, unless there was a KD. Then it would give the fighter who was KD and extra round to try to even things out.

Championship fights should be 15 rounds. I hear announcers talk about championship rounds, but those rounds are actually 13-15. Nobody's fought championship rounds for years.

Can you imagine Duran -Leonard a 12 rounder? Frazier-Ali and the Thrilla in Manila 12 as well? Would Rocky Marciano have retired undefeated in a 12 round era?
Rounds 13-15 is the proving ground.

I voted for Championship fights should have 13 rounds but Unification fights should have 15 rounds!

13 rounds would make it easier on the judges.

Most of my favourite fights and many of my favourite fighters are from the 15 rounds era.

Thats my preference...but we will never ever see it again.

And seeing as though so many fighters struggle even with the 12 rounds these days, I think the fighters are happy with the way it is.

Why isn't there a 13th rd championship and unification option?
