How many rounds will Hopkins win against Calzaghe?

I see what you are getting at, but I still don't believe he has it. I really don't like the term "explosive" to describe a guy that hasn't knocked anybody out, despite having ample opportunities to do so

Whether the delivery of shot is fast or not is semantics in this case. I'd still say Pavlik is more "explosive" than Taylor, because he actually looks like knocking decent fighters out - and has done so

It's a matter of definition I suppose, but I don't think Taylor has much power, explosive or otherwise. RJJ is the best example of "explosive" power in the true sense. Speed and natural power

 

No I'm not, I'm picking Bernard by points. My point was that I think it's more likely that Hopkins will stop Calzaghe than vice versa - unless father time has caught up with B-Hop which I suppose is a possibility, I certainly think Calzaghe is banking on that.

 

And when Mayweather beats THE BIG SHOW, how many bonus points will you give him? How much more distance will he have gained over the rest of the boxing p4p list? :hey

He wont win...mark my words Calzaghe will stop him or win a wide UD. Calzaghe will be to much for ole man river...speed, skills, soutpaw, combinations and footwork. If Taylor could do it with being as raw as he was, im sure a Calzaghe can best an older less active executioner.

I picked Joe on points myself, I would agree though that if anybody is getting KO'd it won't be Hopkins.

 

It'll be even more sickening for ya when you find out Hops isnt in JC's class.

The real question is what kind of odds are you willing to give someone betting on Calzaghe? Cause you can already get fantastic odds from the bookies, but we can't get anything fantastic on Calzaghe and odds on him are likely to only get worse

 

I have asked that same question 100 times now, cause he has been getting steadily worse for the last half dozen years

 

I have a bad feeling he's going to get stopped. Not KO'd, but rather a corner stoppage or a stoppage in which Cortez jumps in to save him.

 

I voted 1-2 rounds. I think your going to eat so much crow after the fight you'll wanna change your username!! This fight will be a clear clear win - Joe will mesmerize old Popkins. He cant compete on speed or workrate...he can only hope to try and do a John Ruiz on Joe, but I think Joe will make him look silly. Ole Popkins will try n punch grab and smother Joe and then he'll realize Joe wasnt there but has moved around and is throwing yet more punches at him.

I think Joe should get some t-shirts printed off for after the fight - one for him to wear saying somethin like "I owned ole Popkins" and one for Bernie saying "Joe Calzaghe is my Daddy!!"
