How many rounds will it take Marquez to outclass Katsidis

Why anyone thinks this fight will be competitive is beyond me. Rewatch Katsidis fights with Diaz and Casamayor. He beat a guy named Mitchell, big deal. Unless Marquez is completely faded it's a one-sided fight. Even if he's not faded he beats up Katsidis, who has no skills other than absorbing punches like a sponge. Katsidis is exciting and must watch, unlike a sloppy brawler like Hatton, but not world class.

Please bet on Katsidis, those who believe he'll win. That way the odds will improve from 3-1 Marquez to closer to even.

    It's going to be on HBO, opposite Showtime showing Froch-Abraham. HBO's card's a triple-header, Showtime's a double header.

I say round 4 the momentum will start showing for JMM more obviously. Round one will probably have both throwing with Katsidis making the more significant punches, round two more pressure, round three more pressure and countering, and round four marquez starts to time him and find the right distance from which to counter. By 6 it's a great fight with Katsidis trying harder and harder while Marquez matches him with combinations. By 8 Katsidis isn't looking too good, but Marquez is not fresh looking either, and around nine or ten there is enough damage on Katsidis for a KO after a wobble or a stoppage on cuts.

Damn I'm going for JMM too, but man I don't see him going out early. I think late rounds ala Diaz I.

If Katsidis hasn't made his mark and at least buzzed Marquez in the first 3 rounds, then the fight is over. Katsidis is just made to order for Marquez, his best hope is marquez has slowed down and hope to impose his physicality in the first half of the fight. Don't see how Michael wins this, unless Juan Manuel is significantly passed it. The skill disparity is just to vast.

After round 4 if Katsidis is lucky. People are talking about JMMs age. An older more washed up Casamayor picked Katsidis apart. So age even if it shows wont really be a factor.

This has FOTY written all over it though.

Casamayor didn't pick him apart, he landed a lucky shot. Casamayor had a good first two rounds, then Katsidis was taking him apart until Casamayor landed that lucky punch in the tenth.
