How many rounds would it take Canelo to BRUTALLY KO Lemiuex?

He was actually only "sparked" once, by Rubio. He then lost to Alcine. Alcine isn't an unknown - maybe to you, he was a former junior middle belt holder when he upset the then highly touted Travis Simms.

In any case, LeMoo has progressed since then. He isn't good enough to beat GGG, but he'd have an excellent chance of beating Canelo.

Fukk that, Canelo wouldn't be able to knock him out. Some of you guys have no idea of what Lemieux would do to a shorter fighter, and it shows. Canelo would outbox him for the first couple of rounds then the knockdowns would come... either Canelo gets stopped or it gets to a close decision.

Lemieux didn't get "sparked", GTFOH. Russ Anber threw the towel when he saw that David had blown his load early - no point in having a gassed fighter sustain a methodical beating. Lemieux was on his feet. Anber is gone now.

In terms of pure boxing ability, N'Dam > Canelo. And you know what, I think IB himself would back that up. Feel free to jump in, IB... I know, I know, Chicano thread and all that jazz.

I remember seeing Canelo nearly get sparked in a round by a blown up featherweight. Ironically I think the guy was a distant relation of Miguel Cotto aka Melon Head Miguel. Honestly the size difference between them was absolutely ridiculous. Canelo looked at least 9 or 10 divisions bigger than him. Imagine Artur Beterbiev in there with Chocolatito Gonzalez. That's how ridiculous it looked.

However, even though Canelo's pygmy opponent was literally half the size of his him, against all the odds he still nearly laid him out cold with a left hook, and a rather innocuous looking one at that. Canelo was wobbling around the rink like a drunken gypsy for a good minute after getting tagged and he only managed to make it out of the round by the skin of his teeth.

And what's more it took Canelo 9 rounds to get his vastly undersized foe out of there too, and even then it was a premature stoppage with his opponent still on his feet and seemingly clear headed and not in serious trouble.

 @ Roman vs Artur, what a thought.

I hope Cotto tells us more about Canelo's chin in November. Good to know the above info, though.

Don't forget Canelo's abysmal stamina either. He literally only trains about 15-20 minutes a day when in full training. lol

That's the downfall of being the boss of your camp and being surrounded by yes-men.

Canelo will do well post Cotto loss. He will finally dump Reynoso and hopefully get with someone like Nacho. Canelo could be greater, he just needs the right team to get him there.

I've recently re-watched Lemieux's fights vs Guerrero, Rosado, and N'Dam and Kid Quillin's fights against them and no question Lemieux definitely did much better against all three of them. Guerrero vs Quillin was pretty one-sided but Guerrero had his moments and he managed to win at least one round. He was coming forward taking the fight to Quillin and even felt confident enough to showboat at one point too, whereas against Lemieux it was all one way traffic.

Lemieux vs Rosado was one-sided too, give or take a few moments where Rosado managed to summon the courage to stand his ground and take it to Lemiuex. But Rosado took a beating and he was on his bike most of the time, whereas against Quillin he was walking him down and on his his way to winning after a slow start, IMO. Those Haymon judges scorecards were ridiculous. Rosado was giving Quillin a real stiff tussle and he even hurt him with a right hand that made Quillin's legs do a little jig in homage to the dance of the people of his ancestral homeland (Ireland).

And N'Dam won at least 8 of the 12 rounds on my card against Quillin as well. Maybe even 9. His problem was he couldn't get out of the way of Quillin's left hook and ended up losing because of all the KDs. Lemieux vs N'dam was a much more one-sided affair. Rosado, Guerrero and N'Dam were much more fearful of Lemiuex than they ever were of Kid Quillin.

Yeah, the trainer James Gogue said he was shocked at Canelo's lax attitude to training when he visited his camp for the fight against Floyd. He said he basically trains as hard as he wants to and takes rests all the time whenever he wants.

Thanks for the refresher, Serge. I still didn't like to see David getting timed by Rosado with strong jabs, something that would put him down if GGG sat on his (jab).

Golovkin is unique though, I'd love to see Lemieux vs anybody in the top 10. Especially Jacobs.
