How many rounds would Rubio have lasted against Arthur Abraham?

You know what, that EXACT fight comes to mind. But Marquez did try and bring it to AA and only backed off after he felt a counter.

I think AA would have taken out Rubio within 4.

the way that Rubio fought tonight, could possibly go all the way

Rubio was just trying to survive, Abraham thrives on getting his KO's from guys that go after him, hes not as good a stalker as Pavlik but would eat Pavlik for Brunch if they ever fought.

Paradoxically, I don't think it would've been that early. Assuming Rubio did the same thing he did in the Pavlik fight (as in, not initiating anything or throwing much), I think Arthur would coast and just bank rounds until the latter half of the fight, as he's got a tendency to do at times when he knows he's the better fighter. It doesn't seem like him to try and destroy his opponents early in most cases.

Rubio came to collect a paycheck in a disgraceful performance. AA would probably lay him out with the first big combo he lands.

The poll only has options to round 6. Obviously the poll was created by someone who thinks Rubio would have been stopped before the 6th round by Abraham. I think Rubio could go the distance with Abraham.

Pipe said he thought word at ringside was Rubio's nose was broken. I'll have to wait until we find out more about it. Pavlik was working the body. Abraham will work the body. If it turned out he quit because of the body shots, then I don't think he goes 12 with AA. If it was the nose, then it is more likely.

Can I follow Boo's argument of who would beat who in his resume instead of Abraham himself?

Rubio lasted one minute vs. King Arthur victim Kofi Jantuah.

Fewer than he did in Pavlik's only because AA's a wild slugger and Rubio's terrible.

    Between round 5 and 8...

AA is a slow starter so a 1st, 2nd or 3rd round KO is not very realistic.

I think it would be a very simillar fight to the one we saw last night.Abraham would be able to do as he pleased in every round just like Kelly did.It would either be a ud win or late stoppage for Abraham.

Also let's not forget that Abraham takes A LOT of the round off simply covering up in his turtle shell stance and waiting for the right opportunity. Abraham feasts off the last minute of the round when he starts to let his hands go more often.

It probably stops around the same time this fight did except Freddy Mercury probably takes a much more substantial beating.
