How many rounds would Spence last with Kamikaze Golovkin?

Yeah, also his attacks to the body would be pointless (GGG is just way too big and strong to feel those shots) and would be viciously answered upstairs.

 

HAHAHA for my complaining in a couple threads about this matchup, I think I deserve it.

I don't see how anyone could look at this post negatively. Just because some fans want to see Golovkin finally challenge himself doesn't mean they're not rooting for him. I've seen the guy knock down fighters with straight leads/jabs, it's conceivable his power would look good at 168 lbs too.

Spence just won his first title. He should do the same thing Golovkin's been trying to do, and that's unify his weight class. Only difference is there's actually a myriad of talent at 147 lbs, so no one should criticize Spence for not moving up anytime soon.

 

Spence would get knocked out probably before the halfway point of the fight IMO.

I actually believe you're quite wrong on this. I did a poll a while back and GGG was way ahead of Wilder.
I bet GGG catches him eventually

 

1) Monroe and Geale had much faster hands than GGG and look at the good it did them.
2) Jacobs who hits way harder than Spence, pounded Golovkin's body all night and it did exactly, um, zero.

It would surprise me if Spence remained vertical for more than 5. Little guy that likes to trade coming forward against a bigger tank of a man that has artillery for punches? We saw that already, and Brook ended up in hospital.

The fact that Brook outboxed Spence in the early going tells me all I need to know about how Spence would fare against Golovkin ... not well.

 

1. What're Monroe and Geales KO's combined. Neither are power punchers at all. Funny you bring up Monroe. He had great success when he fought Spence's style staying in the pocket. G just took glove to the face. He will respect Spence more period.

2. Jacobs fought G in a style he's never fought before. I doubt he was getting his optimum power on shots when he was in SP position and still he took G to the final round and had much success. You make it sound like he had none which is asinine.

3. You can have your opinion but the fight will go past 5 imo. Spence's limits would actually work in his favor against G. Btw, Brook landed better shots on GGG than he did Spence. Take it how you want.

A bunch of those shots he was inviting Monroe to take, because he knew Willie had nothing for him.

Jacob's body attack is what kept him in the match. However, Golovkin never slowed down nor did he give any indication that the body work was bothering him. Jacobs > Spence as far as punching power is concerned.

Golovkin went to war against Brook. He wasn't even trying to be technical, and it showed.

Spence shouldn't be anywhere near GGG in a ring. Not just for his own safety, but also for all of Golovkin's fans, who will have to endure endless "he's picking on 147 guys" taunts again, and then when Spence gets flattened "Golovkin was expected to win, no credit from me".
