Surely about all that could be expected though with the lack of advertising, high price and the fact Froch isn't a household name.

It's a shame, but with all the problems everybody had I doubt we'll see much of Primetime again.

 

So I'm one of 1,283 sad boxing nuts in the country :-(

 

I paid also... but I'm content with that knowing that I watched Froch lose.

 

I wouldn't be so sure as we all know there are 'alternatives' that some miscreants may have been watching instead that wouldn't show on the final figures. You also need to take into account that there are a lot of Virgin TV subscribers (don't know about the Freeview lot) that were frozen out from ever buying it in the first place.

All of that said, that figure is still pathetically woeful, though. Wonder what Hennessy will tell Froch? 'You're marquee under my tutleage, son. The figures are low as I like to think that your fanbase is more refined' (ala Spinal Tap). I bet Warren is laughing his fish eyes off right now! We all knew this was coming and I can't say I'm suprised in the slightest. That figure is terrible:?.

PPV only works if A its well advertised B if the fighter is popular

What the point in putting it on ppv to make a pittance???

 

I predicted 5,000, but just over 1,000 sales is woeful.
