How many shades of would a prime Paul Briggs knock out of Danny Green?

rick thornberry used to have briggs refuse to come out in sparring sessions. rick flogged him every time, so badly briggs would give up...

im pretty sure danny would push briggs.

 

I always thought it would have been a close fight, a real war, with neither bloke giving an inch to the other, the winner merely the bloke who could keep his feet after a torrid encounter.

No KO, I reckon SD to either Green or Briggs would have been a satisfactory result after 12 rounds of trench warfare and much blood spilt, setting up what could have been the finest trilogy in Australian boxing history.

If these 2 had managed to get it on, I reckon we would have had our very own Gatti-Ward trilogy.

 

Green isnt slow..but his robotic delivery makes it easy to predict where the punch is coming from.

Paul is more fluid and mobile when he wants to be.

It probably is pretty close in one punch speed...but Paul always struck me as the faster fighter, especially when putting his punches together.
He looked very impressive in this regard against Castro.

i agree totally!only an idiot would think green is faster than briggs .adamek would outbox green in a lop sided fight hes too slick too fast,where as green briggs would be carnage but i would pick briggs in close one!

Have to say i was happy they never fought because there my two fav fighters so it would be like watching two of your mates punch the **** out of each other:deal
I think we've all heard the sparring stories between these two,twice they had to stop the spars early because they were out of control:hey
I think Dannys ribs are still healing from that spar.
Somebody taped it with a hand held camera [quality wasn't the best] and loaded it up to this forum in about 2005 i can't remember which poster it was.

Yeah maybe, spose styles make fights though and sooner or later they would trade and I don't see Greeny going down. So I spose what im saying is Briggs V Adamek doesn't look anything like Briggs V Green.

Agree although if they fight this year Green will definately win imo.
