Most say Pacquiao is going to beat up old Shane, so for boxing fans, a KO or a mismatch is a high possibility and will just show how great Pacquaio is for most of the new audiences.

But theres a chance that a young Shane might turn out since styles make fights, what would happen to Pacquiao's apperance if the fight is competitive?

I believe Tyson did over a million a few times. Didn't King take him to showtime? I remember Jim Grey would ask him stupid questions and may have even pissed him off once.

According to this site it says they've done pretty well:

"Showtime Pay Per View is the industry leader in sports and event distribution. The unit has produced and distributed seven of the top ten pay-per-view events of all time, including the top four: Holyfield and Tyson II, Lewis vs. Tyson, Tyson vs. Holyfield I and Tyson vs. McNeeley"

With HBO I felt it was going to do around 800,000 - 1 Million buys but now with Showtime....I dunno. But this fight will be a test to see how significant the public cares about HBO's broadcasting compared to just any other broadcasting team. If it bombs then it could mean HBO controls boxing. If its a major success then it could mean the promoters control boxing. Its going to be interesting for sure how the politics all plays out.

What those numbers prove is that if a fighter is as popular as Pac has become, it should carry over to another network unaffected.

I read King took Chavez over to Showtime, and HBO had to give Whitaker a release for that one catchweight fight with Chavez, which was shown on Showtime. It won't only be money Arum will be taking over to Showtime.

:nutRidiculous.....the fighters sell the PPV, if it bombs its because the masses dont fancy seeing Pacquiao beat on a 40 year old who's looked like crap his last two times out.

"If it bombs it means HBO controls boxing".....you've got to be a complete idiot to say that.

It easily hits 1 mil. I wouldn't be surprised if it even pushes 2 mil. Having a Fight Camp 360 on CBS will really help this fight and hopefully in the long run it helps boxing as a whole.

And if it does more than 1.2 million buys what does that mean to u then? Mosley is a bigger draw than margo? Pac is that much more popular than he was a year ago? Do u even think before u post? Go rewatch chavez vs. Whitaker again and score it correctlyif u want to be taken seriously at this site.

Itll be a dissapointment if it doesnt pass 1.5M IMO. That's around how much it will make in HBO with about 4 times less than CBS homes.

If it does what the Margarito and Cotto fights did, then Pacquiao made the right decision to fight the less riskier Mosley.......I just dont think Pac vs Mosley will come even close to those numbers.
