Joshua does have a chance, he’s a pretty big puncher and it is HW boxing. Not that he’s the favorite.

Assuming that goes his way he would then hopefully face the winner of Fury vs Seferi II

After that, Whyte? Wallin? Joyce? Ruiz?

Interesting to think about far will the Ukrainian go. He could retire an undefeated champ in a few years considering his age.

I think he may have a few. Unification ain't happening any time soon. So, Usyk will have some time to throw in defenses against some soft mandatory challenges and tune-ups. If he fights 2 times a year and Fury decides to age him out by delaying a unification, we might see a good 4 or 5 defenses.

Joshua, then he'll probably have to do a Mando against Joyce or Helenius for the WBA.

I don't think the unification will be made with Fury. I think probably Fury will retire. He mights do Parker then get a unification against whoever the new WBC champ it. Or, if he has to take care of both mandos, skip Parker.

I hit three, but I will say 4. It will either be Joshua, Joyce, Parker, and WBC champ, or Joshua, Joyce, Helenius, and WBC champ. After he beats someone for the WBC belt, he will retire.

If it is Fury, I am still a little tore on who wins, although I am leaning towards Usyk as the less shopworn and more motivated.

AJ, WBC belt holder and WBO/WBA/IBF mandatory

He can retire after 3 fights, undefeated, 2 weight undisputed champion. who won every single belt away from home and never been knocked down.

Fury retiring doesn't actually make sense to me.
If he cares about money, then he is leaving a lot on the table.
If he cares about legacy. Usyk coming up from Cruiser and clearing out the division, will make this era look very weak, Fury, himself included.

The narrative would be, Fury beat an old Wlad. Then Joshua did it better. Fury then bested a paper champion in Wilder then ducked fights with Usyk and Joshua. Usyk came up from Cruiserweight and unified the division.

Fury better not bloody retire

Fury isn’t retiring but I could see him ducking Usyk for a while. I estimated three defenses but Usyk is up against a lot:

    - He will probably continue to fight in his opponents’ back yard as always and corrupt judging is highly likely. Usyk isn’t a KO puncher so this is a legit possibility.
    - Usyk is giving up a lot of size and although he has a great chin, he could get caught with a big shot and stopped.
    - Usyk is not young and for a guy who relies on speed and movement, it will be interesting to see how long he can maintain his excellent stamina.

He’s giving up so much size, it will be interesting to see how far he goes. Beating Joshua made HW boxing so much more interesting to me at least. We need more fighters like Usyk in boxing. He wants the biggest fights and is not afraid to fight anyone anywhere. His old school mentality is becoming rare in todays boxing scene.

He has openly said that he does not care about legacy at all.

He likes his money, but he clearly does not want to train any longer, and is talking about retirement again.

I could be wrong, or course.

    1) Beats AJ in the rematch

    2) Warmup fight before Fury with some random contender. Loses.

    3) Random contender beats Usyk in the rematch

    4) Random contender has a warmup fight before Fury against Random contender #2. Loses.

    5) Random contender #2 wins the rematch.

    6) Random contender has a warmup fight before Fury...

I'm not to sure where the 'he doesn't want to train anymore" view has come from?

Perhaps I've missed something, as Fury does say something different one day to the next, but as far as I was concerned after his mental health issues he treats his training as his "medicine" as it gives him focus and structure to his life.
