Personally, I don't think twice a year is enough. I think 3 or 4 times a year would be ideal for the fans. Why don't the governing bodies make them more active?

Or cut the time down to losing a belt to 6 months?

3- 4 times at minimum ..There for you can refine your craft and it forces one to fight guys and not cherry pick

There is no uniform number. It all depends on the fighter. There's so many issues with promoters and all sorts of other things that prevent guys from fighting more often. You also have to realize that T.V easily brings in the most money. So established guys aren't going to fight off TV. So if you're an HBO guy, you can probably get 2-4 dates a year. PPV fighters have to spend more time negotiating and promoting fights. PPV fighters can probably fight 2-3 times a year. Up and coming fighters who aren't tied down to a network can fight as often as their promoters will allow them.

Same. I'd rather guys face all comers and be washed up at 30. Instead of ducking and wasting your potential just to prolong yout career.

If top level fighters consistently fought 3-4 times a year, you wouldn't hear nearly as many complaints about quality of opponent for half of them. But because they usually fight half that often and still fight guys outside the top 10 you get the sort of justified complaints that are thrown around to almost every single fighter or at least every single fighter every other fight.

at least 3 , but once they reach world championship level it changes from boxing to business and its the fans that suffer and have to wait around while the fighters just sit around counting there money . the thing is before they made it big in boxing they would happily fight once a month to try and put food on the table . its total bo11ocks .

Anything less than 4 is rubbish.
8 week camps in a 52 week year.
4 fight would give you 5 weeks off between camps. More than enough time to recover.

    GGG is doing pretty good

    Kell Brook too

Lower level and young prospects starting out should be fighting once a month for the forst year then move to once me dry two months for another year

3 at the minimum, but I think 4 should be the benchmark. This 2 times a year is bullsh!t. Just beyond stupid.
