It is exactly because of attitudes like this that I made this thread. Hopkins didn't just get screwed, he got screwed TWICE by HBO and the boxing establishment, because he always took them on and stood up to them. Same with Winky Wright. And that's just wrong.

Taylor isn't fit to carry their jockstraps. And after getting laid out again and again, it is CERTAIN he will never be in the ballpark of these HOFers.:-(

If Hopkins thought he got screwed in the first fight then why did he do the exactly same thing in the rematch by giving the rounds away in the 1st half again? And you ignoring my comment, why would hbo screwed Hopkins if Hopkins promoter is Oscar De la hoya?

HBO signs these prospects like Taylor to big contracts, they make an investment and they want it to pay off. Hopkins was ALREADY a name, and more fights could and would be made, win or lose.

Hopkins was ALWAYS independent, did what HE wanted. The boxing establishment always hated him. If you don't know that, you don't know much about his history. He took on all the scumbags in boxing - King, Dibella all of 'em. Wright too.

These guys got punished for doing it their own way, and lost decisions they should have won - and WOULD HAVE if it weren't for their unpopularity with the establishment, and HBOs desire to push Taylor forward. And that is an injustice.

I just told you. They only stood to make money off of Taylor if he won. Golden Boy could still make all kinds of money off Hopkins - and DID - win or lose.

Basically, HBOs own interest and investment in moving Taylor up the payday ladder trumps any influence GB may or may not have had over them.

^^^ And you think hbo would risk that? If hbo screwed Hopkins, gbp would no longer work with hbo. Hell Oscar by that time would have fought maybe on showtime and showtime would get alot of money way more then hbo. Oscar vs Mayweather would never happen if hbo did screwed Hopkins over. This screweing stuff is just your ******ed excuses as to way you bashing Taylor every chance you get. But why bashing Taylor at this moment after what just happen to him with brain damage?

Golden Boy isn't gonna stop working with HBO if they screwed Hopkins. Too much money to be made. They wanted to establish themselves as a power in the sport. You don't do that by not working with HBO just because they wanted to move one of their fighters. It's part of the business. Just not a part that I, as a fan, particularly like.

Not too many believed he was the next ATG MW even when HBO was hyping him. U act like he's been exposed like Camacho Jr. He hasn't. He proved and continues to prove that he's a top mw/smw who has some signifcant stamina/chin issues, but is stlll a threat to just about anybody

Hopkins might not be good to you but he outclassed pavlik who destroyed Taylor in round 7 and if he faces Abraham he will beat Abraham.

Taylor is not exposed. He fought very hard and has nothing to be ashamed of. He is better than Ward and Dirrell any day and he beat Hopkins.

Well he just can't beat a white boy. His team should've just ducked white boys and maybe he would still be undefeated.

Don't get offended anyone! I'm black and I am saying this, so that makes this ok.
