He gave the p4p #1 (Bhop) all he could handle, the same with p4p #2 (Winky Wright) in BACK to BACK fights. Whether you scored them for Taylor, BHop, Wright or as draws, Taylor pushed the two best fighters of the time to the absolute wire over 36 rounds. Even if you think he lost every single one, he only lost by a round. That means Taylor was very good.

Jermain is a star that shined really bright for a short time and has lost the edge. Pavlik started it in my mind. By coming back from basically being knocked almost back to Youngstown in that second round and to keep coming at him and eventually knocking him into a disoriented heap in the corner was mentally rough on Taylor. (granted he, for the most part, punched himself out after the first 2 rounds). The last 2 KO's have just been so oddly similar, seconds remaining, fought a decent fight in both (winning in one) and all of a sudden BANG, done.

His chin has also been chipped too. The shot he took from AA was a pretty mean right that i would never want to feel. Pavlik hitting him with a barrage of punches, and Froch the same.

Jermain accomplished a lot in the sport, regardless of being "the HBO hype" and what nnot, Still went to the Olympics, still fough B-Hop and Winky with victories and for a period in time was the undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World....h accomplished a lot and should consider hangin them up. Do some commentary, open a gym, be a spokesperson for a grill, something.
