Okay, so he was dropped against Torres....he never actually went down against Corley but was seriously hurt if I'm not mistaken. Is that correct?
he wasn't hurt badly by zudah....he was stunned for like half a second....i've seen him really hurt 3 times.....2 to torres, and 1 to chop chop.....
Thanks to both you and Freddie! Do you happen to remember the rounds of the aformentioned (both the knockdown and the instances in which he was hurt early)?

Do you have the Cotto/Corley match? I've never seen the fight and I wanted to see how bad Corley wobbled Cotto.
I agree. The uppercut that Zab hit him with would have had much more of an effect on Cotto if that fight was at 140. His chin is a lot more sturdy at WW.
That makes no sense AG11, one doesn't get a sturdier chin for being hit too many times, let alone in one weight class above. What you may say is that Cotto doesn't get hit that often at 147, I presume. Cotto wobbled against Judah by the uppercut in the 1st, the left counter on the 3rd and some sharp shots in the 7th - Joel said Zab that he was bustin him up but we all know that that was to keep Zab throwing... Basically, Zab's skill and sharp-counter punching was not enough and Cotto was backin him up, shooting at will to his arms, shoulders, body and head all night long. Torres frame was even slimmer than Judah's and all his dangerous punchin came by way of commiting himself entirely to follow up some nice shots like that left hook, Cotto went down due to a push after a long punishment but also shook it off by way of punching clearly low in the round which followed. Corley ( who was 140 lbs at fight night against some 150 plus Cotto) rocked him with that right hook over his left shoulder but Miguel was able to eat every single shot after that - cornered Chop Chop in the 5th but the first knockdown was by way of a low punch too, then Corley took another knee and the rest is history.
The thinking is, I believe, that Cotto was weight-drained at 140, making him weaker, including his chin.
