Should it be that guys building their name fight 4 or 5 times a year and the top guys fight 1 or 2 times?

I would be fine with this if those top guys were always fighting top guys and no tune ups. Danny fighting Salka or Pac fighting Algieri is just unacceptable. If you want a tune up, have a third fight.

    Just my opinion.

I agree. Two fights without tune up, three fights with tuneup included.

From jr. lightweight to heavyweight there are ten divisions.

Lets say the top dog of each division (the unified champ, lineal champ or whoever is the consensus #1) fight three times a year.

That would be 30 out of 52 weeks (01 year) watching one of those champions defend their division's title. The other 22 weeks you could watch other beltholders, contenders, eliminators, prospects, etc.

    Are you kidding?

Pac fought two unbeaten champions in 2014.

Also Pac still manages to fight twice a year despite being a full time Politician in his home country of the Philippines.

Some of you guys need to think before you post on here.

You're a total dumb@ss. WTF does being a Politician have to do with it? NOTHING. Other fighters like Marquez, Floyd and Canelo run their own businesses as well. Do you even know the time commitment that Pac has? He also gets excused when needed.

Algieri was a sh*t fight only a Pact@rd would defend.

Top fighters can be fighting 4 times a years no problem

Fighters looking for a get to top ten or stay top ten four to six

Fighters building from the bottom that are considered good prospects six to ten times as they usually are involved in learning fights , that is fights that matched to show case their skills and improvements and sell them to the audience

Are you honestly comparing Pac being a politician to Mayweather running his own business?

Floyd can't even read and you think he's running his own business...GTFO of here! Floyd has no business apart from a two bit promotional company.

Pacs wins over UNBEATEN champions Bradley and Algieri are vastly superior to Floyd facing a slow as mud Maidana wearing pillow gloves.

Floyd really does have lowest of the low fans.

    Go follow your CHICKEN MAYWEATHER.

This is kinda selfish when you think about it.. You want top fighting millionaires to just fight and train.. They want to enjoy the fruits of their labor too.. After fighting a guy who is also a good fight, they need time to rest, heal, and enjoy life...

Ahhh...and he proves he is a dumb@ss by assuming I am a Floyd fan. It's the only comeback you (Pact@rds) and the Floyd huggers ever have... "He said something bad (yet truthful) about Pac... waaaah he must love Floyd" Show me ANY post EVER where I am a Floyd hugger. ANY. You can't. It's called being objective, which your dumb@sss knows nothing about. Clown.

I agree. That's why I differentiated between guys that are making a name vs guys who are established. Some may see it as unfair, but there should be a reward for being the top guy. 4 times a year fighting the best is too much IMO.

    Elite level 2 (3 is.pushn it)

    Everyone else minimum 3

Tune ups are fine aslong as they have a big fight coming up (and it better not be.ppv)

    Ideally 3.

In my opinion having a true cupcake fight (I'm talking Salka-status) would actually be acceptable to me among elite fighters if they guaranteed 2 other fights in the calendar year with one being a truly great match up.
