How many times was David Price stopped in the amateurs?

    i like the guy, he seems like a nice person. as a boxer, i'd say he is better than fury technically.

    his only problem is his chin, and i find it hard to get excited just yet. Guys like sexton and mcdermott, i think he would have stopped them in the amateur days. its the world class guys who will find him and see what he is made of.

    thoughts?

    Didn't seem to have a problem with his chin in that footage, just his footwork and imposing his jab. Time will tell, but there is no doubt he has talent and maturity.

    I think Fury dropped him in their amateur bout although Price won. Mind you, it doesn't take much to get knocked out at heavyweight.

    Fury didn't drop Pricey, he punched him on the back of the head when he tripped, I was there.. I've been a few places with Big Un and been on numerous camps and watched him sparring with the likes of Haye and I've never seen him off his feet, only a crazy swing off that big Welshman who's names evades me?? Pricey has a great chin but make no mistake if anyone gets hit with a huge shot at that weight with 10oz gloves on then I'm sorry it's all over no matter who you are IMO..

    Stopped? As in the ref stopped it because price was unable to continue and hurt or amateur stopped where one guy is ahead by so many points? Because getting outfoxed isn't a sign of a dodgy chin. I know Tony is maybe a lil biased here, being pricey's mate and all but I'm inclined to trust him on this and say price has a decent beard.

    The Camarelle stoppage was very alarming at the time. That's the only one i've seen. I'm still not sold on Price, tbh. Wish him all the best though.

    It looks like Price got all of the attributes but not the chin to be someone special, shame.. He is big guy, can punch, has nice technical skills in my eyes but it just looks when he gets hit with big punch he always loses his legs and that is bad sign.. time will tell and propably pretty soon when he steps up how he can handle of taking big punhc at pro game.

    Well anyways... Price would not be the first of these big, chinny hw champs(Wlad and Lennox).
