To be fair, Golota was barely beaten by Ruiz, and never got his Byrd rematch, which he clearly deserved by earning a draw against Byrd. So even though Brewster took Golota out in a matter of seconds, lets kind of give him a pass on that :yep , and look back to his Ruiz and Byrd fighta. So if we all look back to those fights, Golota is certainly deserving of another run at a title. :good
The nut job Golota of the 90s obviously was too screwy to win the big ones, but today's Golota is much stronger mentally. His skills have diminished with age and his car accident, but his showings against Byrd and Ruiz prove he can still more than hold his own with the top guys. He'll get one last shot and then he'll be thru for good. I think he can beat any current champ except Wlad.
