Firstly i just like to say the the so called `O` on a fighters record doesnt mean much to me. I'd rather see them fight good opposition and lose than pad there record and remain undefeated. at the begining of 2007 I read an article on this forum about undeafeated fighters and there was a pretty large list composed by the writer. but then the list rapidly started cutting down. SO how many undefeated top level fighters are left? and how many have fallen in the last couple of years alone?
I totally agree. Guys like Floyd and Calzaghe seem to be obsessed with their "0". That is one of the reasons why they get so much criticism on this site.
why do ppl hate boxers that have there 0??? that doesnt mean they didnt fight competiton, thats means they put hands on everybody. I just dont get it, Calzaghe has fought good competiton, and Mayweather has fought great competiton.
yea ur ryt and im not denying it. for me If calzaghe or mayweather did lose there "O" I wouldn't respect them any less, they are great fighters. I'm simply saying that to me haveing an "O" doesnt matter much as long as you fight good opposition
Dawson has a good chance......the only reason other than Calzaghe's retirement that the fight didn't come off is due to money and Chad's drawing capacity as of 2008/2009.
Lopez at SBW, and he has been matched pretty well in recent fights. Arthur Abraham. Roman Gonzalez. Ivan Calderon. And the list goes on.
Undefeated: Dawson Chagaev Bute Berto (hmmmm) Valero Juan Lopez Arthur Abraham Roman Gonzalez Ivan Calderon Lost "0" in last few years Juan Diaz Cotto Katsidas Williams Hatton Khan Kessler Adamek Pavlik
Povetkin Arreola Chageav All only a matter of time before they get their asses and their 0s handed to them
