i know there are obvious names like ali, frazier, foreman, holmes, l. spinks, m. spinks, tyson, douglas, holyfeild and lewis

what about names like moorer, briggs, mcall, rahman or the second boxing career of foreman? would these fighters be considered to have won the undisputed heavyweight title?

A Linear or generally recognized claim, clearly not undisputed. All of them had fellow fighters dispute their claim. I suspect no fighter in history has ever had an undisputed world title claim.
