When you say WBA are you talking about interim, in recess, silver, nomal, or super?

When you say normal or super do you mean that they had to be reigning champions when you saw them fight?

To be honest, there's going to be loads, hundreds even thousands over the years. I've probably walked past quite a lot in the street and not even recognised them.

I'm going to hazard a wild guess and say 114, but please don't ask me to name them all.

The way he said "have also met Roberto Duran, but not saw him fight." indicated to me that you had to have seen them fight to qualify.

True, but to be honest the TS really hasn't made it clear what counts and what doesn't.

I mean, why not count the WBA "Champion in recess" They are obviously champions and I don't see why they should be penalised just for being "In recess"

I agree but it would be soemthing of a paradox if the stipulation was reigning world champions who you had seen fight but then include the "In recess" ones

True, but are they not announced as being "Champions in recess" by the MC, so when when you see them fight, they are still officially "in recess", but still champs?

I would say once the 1st bell goes, you are clearly no longer in recess, but this is the WBA we're talking about, so who knows?

What about "interim" champs? For every champ in recess, is there always an opposite interim champ? Can we have these at the same time as normal or super champs, or are they instead of them?

What are these Silver champs I hear of? Are they the same as International champs or what?

what about Diamond Champions and Ring Champions?

    Champion Emeritus?

World Championship Boxing Belts Order (from least to most):

    Intercontinental/International
    Silver
    Interim
    Regular
    Champion in Recess
    World
    Super World
    Diamond
    Champion Emeritus

So there's only 9 belts per the 17 weight divisions times by the 4 genuine world championship sanctioning bodies so we've only got a potential 612 current 'world championship' belt holders at any single time. I don't know why you're all taking the ****..
