How many years did Margarito's wraps take off Cotto's career?

Not sure if I could quantify it, but I do know that the Margarito beating greatly diminished his face's ability to take punishment without serious swelling, bruising, and cuts. He looked more marked up and beat-up after fights like Mayorga and Foreman than he did against Shane Mosley. His face starts to get really marked-up after a few rounds now.

 

As much as Margo's eyes were pureed by Pac.

Everytime they get hit a few, they start to show signs of damage.

 

I dont know and nop one else here does either....

This garbage again? Let's look at facts. Nevada is not California. The Nevada commission brings in a sealed bag and nothing goes on your hands that doesn't come from the sealed bag that the commission is standing there overseeing. The difference between fight one and fight two was the damage that Pac had done to Margo's eye. I'm a Cotto supporter but was seeing the second fight turn the same way the first one had. That is why Margo was begging for it to go on. If he did the same comeback with the same Cotto collapse it would have been vindication for the first fight.

Was Cotto damaged goods after that fight? Yes. Was it from loaded wraps? Probably not.

The California 'evidence' disappeared so we will never have a real answer on that. If you watch the video as it happened the commission originally didn't even agree with Nazim that the wraps seemed hard.

I do think Capitulo intentionally cheated but it was a more subtle thing. I believe he intentionally had planned on used wraps. His intention could have been anything from fitting better to being a little harder from usage. That I can't speculate on as far as his reasoning goes.

 

Its somehow the indication of the proper inclination between abilities and styles.

A healthy Margo (heavy durable relentless puncher) is a nightmare for or a guy like
Cotto who is more of a boxer than puncher and who have own problems with stamina.
Similar outcome with PAC. Mosley while heavy puncher was not as much
relentless assuming his age and that he was going down in weight.

I would say Hatton could be nightmare for Cotto as well, I seriously doubt
Cotto would stop Hatton, while Hatton relentless style would give problems
to Cotto in the later rounds.

Bottom line, Cotto needed an injured Margo to get a win,
with healthy Margo Cotto would go down again.

 

That kind of punishment with loaded gloves could end careers. There's a very informative documentary by HBO out there, "Assault in the Ring", that explains it to ******s defending a scumbag like Concreto.

 

I would only expect first class scumbags to forget about cheating trash in our sport.

 

Cotto suffered NOWHERE near the damage Billy Collins received.
(IF Margo was loaded Miguel would be dead)

Resto & Margarito share nothing in common except a bad mullet.
