Never lost in the amatuers, and he did KO Chris Byrd in the amatuers after Byrd won a medal in the Olympics. For some odd reason, Britain didn't want Calzaghe on their Olympic team, he'd have surely at least got a Bronze or Silver...

I think his last loss was in 1990 and it was against a Romanian in the amateurs.

I believe since 1990. Calzaghe is the premier fighter in the world today.

Thats some record, and i know he fought some internatonal fighters. That Chris Bryd result is surprising. He would have won a gold medal easy.

Joe Calzaghe didn't go to the Olympics because he was required to work with the Great Britain Boxing coach and declined as he wanted to work with Enzo. I think he won our national championship (ABA) title at 3 different weights (correct me if I'm wrong)

Why has all of a sudden Calzaghes amatuer record become so mysterious? I mean cmon Calzaghe has been fighting mostly bums for his whole career, no wonder hes undefeated!
