How ironic that the only 2 KO's floyd's had in the last 7 yrs took place while Cortez stood watch.:blood

Cortez was a disgrace that night. I think Mayweather would have won anyway, but it would have been a much closer fight if Cortez didn't keep getting involved.

Hatton wasn't doing any work when he got inside he was grappling pretty much....reason Cortez was stepping in early but as the fight went on he allowed Hatton to and Floyd to work on the inside....news flash Floyd still got the better of Hatton on the inside as well.

Hatton closes distance with just his feet and no jab while lunging doesnt do it properly...reason he got his ass turnbuckled.

There is another fighter who closes distance like this as well.....he was facing another skilled fighter......he got put to sleep....literaly....there is proof in the pudding!

Hatton was by his own account a junkie at this point having turned to drugs after the battering Mayweather gave him. He was skeletal in the fight and leaping in with his head high and no defense. Damn right he got put to sleep.

mayweather was always a level above ricky and i reckon he'd of won regardless of who the ref was

in sayin that cortez ruined that fight from what it could of been,, he never seems to hav a problem with "in-fighting" when the likes of B-hop are bending the rules in their favour

The key was that FMJ was a 100% better fighter.

Hatton did the best he could with the limitations he had. The guy was tough as nails and always brought it in the ring. Truth is Hatton did'nt have the kind of skill set needed to offset Floyd....Rickys aggression and passion was impressive but his execution flawed. I remember seeing him in against fringe contendars having to resort to some questionable tactics in order to gain certain advantages which is a credit to him because he stayed on top. I thoght he lost to Collazo but I could see why they handed him the fight, it was a combonation of many different factors and it was a close bout to begin with but you certainly saw how he was "exposed".

i always thought ricky spent too much of his prime with the WBU filling up the MEN against the tier down from the 'elite'

the hatton that dominated the likes of tackie phillips olivera was much better then the hatton what fought urango luzcano etc ... acutally used head movement and a jab believe it or not

think in the end he relied on the mauling style that beat kostya too much

  15. Zhis ist correct, Cortez vas a fuking disgrace!! He allowed Mayveather to use zie forarm and duck below zie vaistline all night and meanvhile Cortez vas taking zie point off Hatton and calling zie break before zhey even flinched.

Now go vatch zie vhey Cortez reffed zie Calzaghe v Hopkins fight zie week later and allowed zie Hopkins to hold all night long vithout any varnings. Cortez is zie glass jawed joke vith zie massive donger svinging from zie forehead.
