Well better yet, it may peak at 10%. Fighters just like to renegotiate when they start to make huge money. That's what happened to Roach and many others. Fighters/Managers start to want to put a cap on it.

10% is normal but not when making millions !

Atlas first trained tyson and brought him throw a terriffic amateur career then rooney was onboard , they ditched teddy- then cus dies and rooney was there by default

But make no mistake Rooney was NEVER a toop trainer and bozo the clown couldve been in mikes corner then

Rooney was drunk then and he is still drunk today !!

Yup, they tend to put a cap on it.

Teddy left when Tyson was 15/16 and Rooney took over. Rooney was actually a good amateur and a PRO Fighter unlike Teddy who wasn't.

But Rooney was always in the house with Tyson. They knew each other.

Atlas had the job because he wasn't doing anything as a fighter. Unlike Rooney was busy being a pro until Atlas got the boot. then Cus told Rooney to stop his career and start to train Tyson.

Rooney was still training Tyson as an amateur. And he trained him all the way through for Spinks.

Tyson continually got better without Teddy. not only as an amateur, but if you watch every fight from his first pro fight on, Tyson matured Mentally, Physically, and Technically. Not only that, but Tyson said himself that it was Rooney who continually guided him not only in-between rounds, but he was calling out commands during fights.
You can even hear them while just watching fights and see Tyson react to the commands.

Rooney game-planned all of Tyson's fights.

 is that why Tyson declined after Rooney and EVERYONE points to his leaving Rooney :deal

When he was with Rooney, he was holding up the titles. When he was without Rooney, he was crawling on his knees trying to pick up his mouth piece.

Rooney doesn't have to be a broad style trainer to train others. He was taught specifically for Tyson.

O' forgot to mention Tyson himself said Teddy wasn't a very good trainer.
