In what fights that a fighter was past his best, vs another who was arguably in his prime do you think the outcome would have been completely different if both were in their primes?*

Do you think Tyzu would have beaten Hatton?

Do you think Oscar would have beaten Floyd?

Also try to take into account (which most people do not) that the fighter on the day, fights based on the level of who he is fighting in most cases (as in, it's not exactly fair to assume that if they were facing a primer version that they would be incapable of raising their game)

*The opposite of Klitschko vs Lewis, where Lewis was past his best, and Klitschko was in his prime

a recent example is calzaghe versus any of the faded legends he waited till they were 40something until he challenged them, then relied on their lungs fading so their superior skills were no use and he could outpoint them.

Hopkins Taylor 1, c'mon 13 years difference in age and Taylor squeaked out the win by the skin of his teeth, if this would have been a Hopkins of 1995 fighting, Taylor would have been beaten to a pulp.
