When you consider all the ped clenbuterol beef, the catchweights, rehydration clauses, bribed judges, l think it’s reasonable to say that Canelo has a resume that is, at best, suspect.

Crawford on the other hand has been regulated to fighting bums in Omaha because he signed with someone other than PBC who owns the best welterweight contracts in the business.

At least Crawford fought who he could without a ton of nonsense or widely disputed draw/win but neither of them look great.

Even if you strike out all the names with an asterisk on Canelo's resume, it's still better than Crawford's.

Canelo's resume is obviously better on paper by a long stretch. However there are a lot of asterisks on it related to rehydration, judge's gifts, camp times and clen.

Coming from someone who isn't a fan of either, and straight up has multiple personal reasons to resent and despise Canelo. I think I can be a fair and balanced arbiter on this matter.

Crawford only wishes he had controversial debatable wins over GGG, Lara and Trout on his resume. A loss to Floyd would also be better than anything on his resume. Quite frankly, for a supposed P4P fighter, Bud has one of the most hideous resumes in the sport. Let's break it down into sections. 5 star wins, 4 star wins, 3 star wins, 2 stars wins and 1 star wins, now this is all relative to big name wins, none of the tin cans are even being considered, otherwise I'd have to change it to a 10 star system.

    Canelo's 5 Star Wins/Loss...
    Golovkin* Lara* Mayweather**

    Canelo's 4 Star Wins...Jacobs
    Kovalev, Jacobs, Cotto, Trout*

    Canelo's 3 Star Wins...
    Khan, Mosley, Smith, Kirkland, Angulo

    Canelo's 2 Star Wins...
Fielding, Chavez Jr., Hatton, Josesito, Gomez

    Canelo's 1 Star Wins...
    Cintron, Cuello, Baldomir, N'Dou, Rhodes

    Bud's 5 Star Wins....
    :dunno

    Bud's 4 Star Wins....
    Postol, Horn, Gamboa

    Bud's 3 Star Wins...
Kavaliauskas, Khan, Benavidez Jr., Beltran, Dulorme

    Bud's 2 Star Wins...
Klimov, Burns, Molina Jr., Diaz, Lundy

    Bud's 1 Star Wins
    Jean, Indongo, Prescott

I would also highlight the fact that prior to his first (BS)title fight, Canelo fought an impressive list of fringe contenders and gatekeepers(or w/e you want to call them).

    Lovemore Ndou
    Jose Miguel Cotto

It's not difficult to have a better resume than Crawford. Hell there are four or five fighters in the P4P top 10 alone who have better resumes than him even though they've only had half the amount of fights he's had or not much more than half.

That being said, neither Crawford or any of them can hold a candle to Clen in terms of the amount of judges they can fit in their pockets and one thing's for sure if he didn't have such huge pockets he'd have a lot more L's on his ledger and not sit as high on the P4P rankings as he does.

Take away the influence of the NSAC , Vegas boxing & Oscar.
The stunts theyve pulled with "friendly" judges, the Commission looking the other way on suspected & proven Ped's use & very careful cherry picking , have saved Canelo 4 or 5 losses. Now it looks like he may be on his own maybe he'll have to FIGHT!! for himself we'll see
