Yeah but if the sport was fair & not corrupt Mayweather, GGG x 2, Lara & Trout BEAT!! Clenelo. Sadly only one, Mayweather, got the win they all deserved.
Those were all smaller men, Canelo was the original weight bully before fighting guys his own size later in his career.
Miguel Vazquez - Made his pro debut vs Alvarez at 140. He continued to fight at 140 while sometimes taking fights at 147. And he fought Bradley for a belt at 140. Rematched Alvarez at 147. Some time moved down to 135. Now fights at 140(more often) and 147. Luciano Leonel Cuello - Career 154lb. Had one confirmed fight at 147. Michel Rosales - Was a welterweight, just like Canelo. Jose Miguel Cotto - Had a short stint at 147, but definitely the smaller man. Lovemore Ndou - welterweight Carlos Baldomir - 154lb guy who weighed in heavier than Canelo. Of those 6 boxers, you have a case for two of them being smaller men. STFU.
As far as reality goes, there was 4 losses in the first 3 guys on the list. So Canelo's record is very deceiving.
Why did you just quote me? Alvarez clearly beat the guys I listed. And only two were arguably smaller men.
Couldn’t help but notice you didn’t add an asterisk to Kovalev. Would you consider that win non asterisk worthy with the rehydration clause and the fact that Kov had just fought a hard battle ten weeks prior?
I quoted you by accident. I do have more to say about your list and others but don't have the time right now.
If it was fair and not corrupt, ggg would've had lost to Jacobs and deverenko and would have never drew with Canelo, that would've been 3 more losses their, see what I did..
Well, it SHOULD be better. He was set up to be a mainstream crossover star and champ from day one. GBP groomed him, the networks loved GBP's name back then, the ABC's knew where he would be going, wanted that high sanctioning fee to pocket. Canelo go the type of treatment early on very few ever get. TC's stuck with PBC freezing him out.
