I forgot about the power in both hands. I would definately have to go with Floyd also. Floyd is much more effective with both hands than is Cotto. Cotto is developing that right, but his left is still the one that he does most of his damage.

i h8 to say it but i think pbf would make cotto look bad through his speed (hand and foot) and defence cotto seems very patient to me i think he'd just run out of time on the other hand i dont think theres any one else out there who could do much better apart from andre berto when he peaks because he's the future of boxing i also think floyd would have difficulty with sugar shane due to hand speed

I'll give the level of comp. Cotto. I was thinking comp. throughout their whole careers. At WW though, I'll give it to Cotto. I have to go with Floyd as far as adaptability is concerned though. He's been in there with every type of fighter and I've seen him change up his style multiple times in one fight. Look at the Mosely fight. The only punch Mosely was landing was that looping right hand. He kept flicking out the jab then popping Cotto with that right. Cotto never seemed to adjust to this.

You're refering to a fighter as pussboy, and yet have the audacity to question someone else's capacity to be objecive. How ironic.

im going to use the scale of population:

speed/skill - floyd is china, cotto is denmark

power - cotto is china, floyd is china town

so i conclude they are roughly the same

The general consensus here seems to be, Floyd is superior to Miguel in every category. But isn't Floyd a notch above everybody? Still, its no reason to deny Cotto a shot at Mayweather. Did anyone really think Hatton had more of a shot than Cotto does? Would everyone rather see a rematch with Oscar than to see what Cotto can do against Floyd? You see, this whole thread is designed to diminish the very thought of Cotto getting a chance at Mayweather. Cotto has shown he can raise his game according to the quality of his opponent. True he just nipped Mosely, but who's to say Shane wouldn't have troubled Mayweather greatly? We'll never know until they fight.
If the fight was signed tommorow, yeah, I'd pick Floyd over Miguel. But he still deserves the chance more than Hatton did, than DLH does, or anyone else.

Power in both hands - Cotto

Speed - PBF (This one is not close)

Defense - PBF (This one is not close)

Ring Smarts - Floyd (but Cotto can read what's in front of him, Floyd is just better)

Adapatbility - Floyd ( Cotto failed to adapt to a repeated jab overhand right by Mosley)

That "5th" Gear - Even (both can turn it up to that "amazing" level)

Last, Level of Competition - Career, Floyd. At WW, its pretty even.

    Heart - Even.

    Timing - Floyd

You're a buffoon, plain and simple. This will be the last time I reply to you. I don't have time for ignorant simpletons such as yourself who are just looking for attention. I will only respond to you in the future when you post something of substance instead of the 3rd grade level nonsense that you've contributed to this thread.

At WW the competition is even?

Judah, Mosley, Quintana vs Judah, Baldomir and Hatton

Baldomir is a journeyman, Hatton proved he couldn't compete at the weight against Collazo

Yeah...pretty even, if you are a sack swinger
