How much business can a Pacquiao-Canelo fight do?

    Alvarez weighed in at 152 when he fought Mayweather and at 155 for the next couple of years in his catchweight fights. He was hardly drained when he fought Mayweather. If you want to argue that he was still "wet behind the ears", that has more credibility than saying he was drained.

    Canelo was both. 155 was an insurance pound above 154. Floyd did choose Canelo because Canelo was green... Here's a direct quote on the Canelo fight:

    "Building my career took time. I made the right moves. I didn't rush. Once the right fight presented itself, we took advantage of it. That's what it's about. It's about communication, having the right people in the right place at the right time.

    He would later say this about Pacquiao once he finally agreed to fight him.
