....He couldn't do a thing against Skelton when he leaned on him? And Wlad is 3 inches taller, younger, stronger, faster, more powerful, better technically, etc. For Chagaev i hope this was an off night, because based on this, he has very little chance. His power did not impress me either, which is essential to beat Wlad, because he's not going to outbox him.
10-15% - he's got a great left hand but nothing else. he lets his his opponent dictate the tempo. against wlad, u must attack him constantly. i see wlad just circling left the entire fight, flicking the jab 50-60 times a round with the cumulative damage stopping chagaev around the 7th.
I'd say very little chance. He's just asking for a taller man to uppercut him. Lets hope we find out soon because I want these belts together ASAP. Sick of all these pretenders running around calling themselves heavyweight champion.
Chagaev really needs to improve his feet-movement - he won't even hit Wlad and would look like Brewster in the 2nd fight if he can't...
No chance He's a counterpuncher, and a pretty one dimensional one. I really don't see how he gets inside Wlad's jab because he looks fairly awkward and ponderous when he comes forward. I can see him lumbering around looking ungainly and confused for a while until Wlad lands the straight right and it's lights out
Less than a 5 percent chance, and that's being kind to him He doesn't have the serious power of Sanders or Brewster, he cannot outbox Wladimir from a distance, nor does he have the footwork/footspeed to get inside of Wladimir's jab and do damage on the inside.
Damn, Chagaev gets no love. Im not so quick to knock Chagaev, he fought an amazing fight against Valuev last year, he had good head movement, fought at angles, and was able to land some solid hooks as well. Wlads weak chin could be exposed by anyone with at least above average power, which Chagaev has. I would give him a 25% chance of beating Wlad, I would only give Peter and Valuev a better chance of beating Wlad at the moment.
