Smith initiated a specific game plan that was very succcessful.

Can you lot not see this? That was Gallagher,do people think he won by just keeping his hands up high and walking forward? He didn’t.If he fought like that then he would have lost.He delivered on the tactics set out perfectly.

I think that when considering Joe G, you have to separate the trainer from the man himself.
Joe does tend to come across somewhat obnoxious and there seems to be a lot of people involved in the sport who dislike Joe because of his personality. But saying that, this is boxing, a sport, not miss world and when analysing Joe within the sport we should be judging his ability as a trainer.
Tbf to the guy, who else has picked up th belts and accolades that Joe has in British Boxing. I mean, come on, the guy was ring trainer of the year.
Credit is due to Joe. Something is working right, he's the most distinguished trainer in British Boxing history.

First line nails it. Same goes for Tony Bellew. The boxer is very good, the man can be irritating.

No boxer is perfect. They also have their own unique technical flaws and are, by the very definition of the word ... wait for it .... LIMITED!!!!

Maybe all the Gallagher-trained fighters seem the same because they are all trained by the same trainer.

I'm not sure why you're finding this concept too difficult to understand.

I give him a lot of credit. It looked like the type of performance where it was clear they knew what they wanted to do before they even got in the ring. Callum and Joe clearly done there homework, and Joe deserves credit here. Like most, I've been critical of Joe in the past, but he and Callum got it right last Friday.

Exactly. The same unexceptional trainer. Had they been trained by a great trainer we wold see their individual variations....not “One size fits all”. Finally we can agree.....

Give the man his dues. He has done really well with all the Smiths who aren't particularly talented bar Calum.
