A lot of people give Pacquiao a tons of credit for his great win against MAB, Infact thats Pacquiao greatest win, So I was wondering how much credit does Jones get for beating a much younger undefeated MAB?

As much credit as I give Lennox Lewis for beating the **** out of Razer Ruddock.

    So a good amount.

Doubtful most posters were born when this fight happened. Jones got a lot of credit for this win. But it wasn't until a little after, that Barrera made his move to the upper echelon of boxing. It would have been a much bigger win if Jones beat him after the Hamed fight.

What makes his a much better version Pimp? If you're familar w/ MAB, you'd see he cahnged his style some from the brawler to the technician. Are you one who thinks technicians > brawlers? :huh MAB probably gave his career an extra 5-7 years with that change up.

I hope for your sake you do realize Ruddock was finished when Lewis got to him. Barrera was undefeated and in his prime.

    Lots.

MAB improved and matured though, and we saw him turn genuinely great in the Morales and Hamed efforts afterwards.

MAB was prime and undefeated not much wear and tear from the wars with EM when he lost to Poison Jones.

Jr. Jones showed incredible drive and determination in their rematch. I give him a lot of credit.

Ruddock wasn't finished. He came off a career best performance against Tyson and string together a whole batch of brutal KO'S leading into Lewis's fight.

It was a SUPER tournament you misinformed swine.

    Vegas Odds for super tourney

    Bowe
    Holyfield
    Ruddock
    Lewis

Lewis was the under dog. he knocked out Ruddock and Bowe threw the belt into the trash can.

Jones deserves all the credit in the world. He proved it wasn't a fluke, flattening him again in the return

Tons of credit. MAB was in or nearing his physical prime. He wasn't at this technical prime, but those two rarely line up.

As John Garfield stated, backing it up in the rematch really cements the win.

:good Thead ender right here. Of course, if people want to praise the efforts Jones put in, no problem there. These smaller guys paved the way for lighter fighters to take the spollight and run. And that especially included this fight, which one could say started the map.
