How much credit does Holmes deserve for beating Ali when he did?

THEY'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE. ...Not even slightly close. Holmes gets almost no credit for Ali, who was a zombie. Tyson's Holmes would still be solid for years. Ask Ray Mercer. I think Holmes is one of Tyson's best wins, really. Ali isn't that for Holmes.

Hardly any. Tyson's win was better by quite a bit.

Agreed on the consensus. Ali was ridiculously shot when Holmes beat him. Holmes was past prime when Tyson beat him.

    Not much credit at all.
Less even than Tyson for the Holmes win.

But it's ridiculous how MUCH credit some people give Tyson for beating Holmes.

Zero. Or a little more than zero because even the shot Parkinsons version of Ali probably still could have beaten some top 20 guys, but that is about it.

As much as I love Holmes, he gets no credit for fighting this version of Ali.

I dont think people would give as much credit to Tyson if he didnt destroy him in 4 like he did, especially since he got older fatter and slower and still noone was able to dominate him like Tyson did.

Its ridiculous how many people feel Holmes got that much better after the Tyson fight because he had more fights against **** opposition.

Yeah, no, they were not close. If you think they were, watch more boxing. They were not close, MM. Holmes carried on for years, he was faded, not shot to absolute ****. Ali was in shamefully ill health. That's not close.
