A win for Joshua over Wilder would certainly elevate his current standing but his current standing is also based on his recent performances which have been the actions of a mentally broken fighter trying to get back to the top but is now fighting with far too much caution and hesitancy due to a complete lack of confidence and self belief unfortunately.

You mean no credit for knocking Wilder out like he did Helenius?

Probably more now than when they were both prime. I always favoured Joshua to KO him quickly but now this timid, mentally shot Joshua, I actually have as the underdog. So if Joshua can someone win now then he gets a ton of credit because right now Usyk is living rent free inside his head and he looks a shadow of his former self.

Wilder in comparison, clearly past his best but he was never some amazing technician and power is the last thing to leave you and so he's just as dangerous now than he was in his prime, even if he might be a bit more vulnerable too.

That sounds like a lot less confidence in Wilder than your earlier posts suggested.

AJ from 6 years ago I feel would have beaten Wilder, now it's Wilders fight to lose. If AJ can over come his demons then I'd be impressed and amazed and he would be ranked 3rd and dependant on the fashion of his win he may even be number 2. Just don't see it after recent performances.

A shut out for six rounds , then a KO in the seventh round KO over the world's current number 3 ?

And you wouldn't give him credit ?

Considering most think AJ is the underdog, he should get full credit and likely #3 in the division.
For as long as that lasts. I think it will be short lived unless AJ defeats Fury. Let's see if Wilder-AJ actually happens.

It would be a great win if he gets the job done. It will be something to look back on fondly when he's in his prison cell.

All jokes aside where is Deontay in the grand scheme of things? He's not exactly in his prime anymore is he.

    Big whoop.

who know what wilder has left. He used to talk as if he wasnt human. Then he literally got his **** pushed in by a white boy. Thats gotta be devastating to the former king of wakanda.

Full credit, I think he'll beat Wilder too.

Question is if Wilder wins how much credit will people give him?

I'm expecting it to be low because the perception of Joshua at the moment.

Lots of credit!!! AJ is a much better boxer than Wilder. AJ can win if he will just let his hands go and embrace his fears.

Wilder has the worst boxing technique EVER but his unpredictable style and power kills folks.

AJ needs this win as badly if not more than Wilder.
